Fletchers nod at her lack of being able to answer was appreciated. It meant that he wasn't going to press the issue further. Cori nodded at Fletchers explanation of the cuddling. "Well, my reflexes and reactions are quite the opposite," she spoke truthfully, "plus, no ones ever tried. But if they did I don't think that I would be all gung ho about it." She knew she wouldn't be gung ho about it. She would mostly likely push them away and make a point not to see that person ever again.

"Physical contact it's..." she shrugged and looked over to make eye contact with him, "it's not really my thing, Fletcher." She wanted to make sure he knew that she had really been paying attention in the conversation, even if she was looking into the distance most of the time.

He was an interesting guy, Fletcher. He was very easy to talk to, and yet he asked all the wrong questions. At least for Cori. He had soft eyes and a nice smile, but he seemed a little distant. Cori didn't mind that, of course, distance was her specialty. But he was pretty good at striking up a conversation, and Cori guessed that it wasn't just with her. This guy seemed like a real social butterfly.

"So, what are you doing over here all by yourself anyway? Don't you have a posse to get back to?" she smiled, she meant the comment lightheartedly.

As he smiled in amusement Cori wondered again if she had said something funny, but she decided not to ask. He probably would just explain something obvious and she would feel stupid, again, for asking. She shrugged as he chuckled and commented that it was interesting. She raised an eyebrow at him, "What's your initial reflex around a girl then? Do you just pounce and beg for a cuddle puddle?" She had heard the term used, cuddle puddle, by many campers who all liked to cuddle at once by the fire and sing and laugh. She found it extremely unfortunate. Especially since her cuddle buddies would probably become the opposite of a puddle.

Cori laughed softly as he explained why and how he understood her situation. "It's more about fear for the other person. Though, now that you mention it, I guess we wouldn't be able to cuddle," she contemplated. Even if she had wanted to try that out someday, there was no way she could do it with Fletcher, right? He would either burn her or she would freeze him. Or maybe he would balance you out, make you feel normal, Cori brushed the thought aside. It was too radical and hopeful.

"I understand the thinking clearly part. Though, direct, hot sunlight usually just gives me a headache..." she muttered the end as she realized the unimportance of that thought. She laughed at his air quotes and rolled her eyes, looking back into the water. "Well, you have to have some friends. Everyone has friends." Except for Cori, who considered most people friendly or unfriendly acquaintances.
