General personality:
Reid is pretty much the worst son of Ares ever. First of all he is a pacifist. He hates violence and war with a passion and made a personal vow to himself to avoid conflict to the best of his ability. As a child Reid grew up traveling with his mother around the world and during this time he saw many impoverished and war torn countries. He saw children his being killed for the slightest crimes and people dying from starvation on the street as people passed by without so much as a glance in their direction. It broke Reid's heart seeing people treated so callously. He was taught lessons on morality from some peaceful monks in China and adopted their vow of nonviolence.
Along with his peaceful nature, it's not much surprise that Reid is also very gentle and caring. He is considerate of every body's feelings and constantly trying to put himself in another person's shoes. He is always trying to be kind to the people around him even if it is just small things like a compliment or a smile in their direction. Reid is the kind of person to always put another person's needs before his own.
Despite his need to be kind to other, Reid isn't too fond of being around people. He prefers his own company and likes to spend time with himself. He is painfully shy when approaching new people. He hates the limelight and makes an effort to keep the attention off himself, which is why he makes such good friends with Sasha.
Reid is still a son of Ares and the trait he shares most in common with his father is his anger. He has always had problems keeping his temper in check from a very young age. He has since learned some meditation techniques to help control his anger but it can still get the best of him in his darkest hours.

History: Lenore Llewellyn was a fairly average woman, if one discounts her number of ex-husbands. She was well educated with several degrees in language and history, came from a well off family from Scotland and moved to America at a young age and was enamored with the thought of traveling the world. As soon as she finished her degrees she packed up her things and began her quest around the world. Along the way, she happened to meet Andrew Shepard, Derek Dare, Jaymes Sunderland, Jake Gyllenhaal, Garrett Hellstrand, and Nathan Drake. Her chain of exes was quite suddenly ended when she learned that she was pregnant with a baby. Her spirits dampened by this unexpected turn, Lenore returned to her home in America and got ready to take care of the baby. With the amount of money her late husbands left her with, she bought just about whatever she could to keep a baby happy. Several months later Lenore gave birth to Reid Jethro Llewellyn. Three weeks after his birth, she left to travel the world once again and left her one month old son with a nanny.
This was the pattern for the nix six years of Reid's life. His mother would go off on trips around the world, leaving him back in America with some hired help and each time she left the longer the time period she spent away from him. At first it was only a week, but by the time he was three Lenore was leaving on month long trips. Reid's life was very lonely. No one else lived in the house, he had no pets and the rare visit from his mother were usually spent with her socializing with her friends rather than being with him. Being the agreeable child he was, Reid grew used to his life. He stayed inside his house all day with the nanny reading books or watching television. His reading abilities were far above that of any normal child his age even with the dyslexia he was diagnosed with. His interest lay mostly in comic books because of the pictures and lack of paragraphs of words which usually confused him. As a result, Reid grew to have the advanced vocabulary he has today.
On Reid's sixth birthday his mother offered him to come with her traveling and he instantly jumped at the chance to spend time with his mother. At this point in time, Reid's demigod powers slowly began to show. While he didn't show any interest in war or weapons he began to develop anger management problems. The first place Lenore took her son was rural China where Reid meet several Buddhist monks who took the boy in for several weeks and taught him several different meditation techniques to help control his anger. They also impressed on him their peaceful nature that turned Reid into the pacifist he is today.
For the next three years Reid traveled with his mother to many different countries. He picked up several different languages including French, German and some Arabic and a few more relaxing techniques that help him cool his Ares temper. When Reid was nine, he asked his mother if he could go back to their house in America and she didn't so much as blink before saying yes. Back in America he started a stable routine of school and regular life. Despite all the amazing time he had traveling the world with his mother a stable life was what he really missed. He excelled in school, became apart of a good group of friends and even joined his school's bowling team.
Life was going well for the unknown son of Ares. Until he ran into the path of trouble by the names of Josh and Sasha. After almost a year of living in one place, Reid was very familiar with all the short cuts in the town so it was not uncommon for him to be found taking the back alleyways to get home from bowling practice after school. What was unusual was for him to find a woman with flaming hair, red eyes and one donkey leg in the process of devouring two hobos. Thinking quickly, Reid grabbed a bend golf club out of near by dumpster (cringing terribly all the while) before slamming it repeatedly against the top of a metal garbage can. The monster turned to him momentarily distracted from its prey and trying to look much braver than he was feeling, Reid stepped forward to speak with it. The monster grinned at Reid and told him to "mind your own business, mortal." Slightly disheartened by being dismissed, he tried calling for attention a second time this time with jabs at her donkey leg. That seemed to catch the woman's attention and this time she turned on him with long fangs barred in his direction. Without much thought, Reid swung his school bag at the monster's face. It connected with the monster's skull with a loud thump at which moment Reid remembered the bowling ball he had in his bag from practice. Gulping audibly he quickly stumbled back to put some distance between himself and the monster when he spotted a rusty fire escape next to him. Scrambling wildly for the ladder, Reid climbed several steps in hopes of putting some space between him and the monster. His heart stopped when he felt a clawed hand hook onto his book bag. The felt bag ripped open and the bowling ball fell squarely onto the monster's face. To Reid's unending surprise the monster broke apart into golden dust leaving his bowling ball to thump onto the ground harshly. Reid and the two hobos that the monster had been attacking stared in silent disbelief at the place where the monster stood for a few minutes. Reid was the first to move as he jumped off the fire escape and looked towards the pair. They were two filthy, muddy children that looked around his age. Reid smiled cautiously at the other kids and said. "Let me come with you if you want to live." And that was what started his life long friendship with Sasha and Josh.
The trio of new friends somehow stumbled their way to camp half blood unharmed and quickly joined their ranks. Life at Camp Half Blood was perfect, in Reid's opinion. It was the perfect balance between the chaotic life he had lived with his mother and the more monotone life he lived back in his hometown. Josh and Sasha proved to be awesome friends, if a bit troublesome. The three of them stuck together through thick and thin and Reid never felt like he belonged more than when he was with his friends.
