Roleplay experience: About four years or so.
Roleplay sample:God's name: HadesCamp Half Blood, home to the inferior race of demi gods. It was not common to see the ruler of the underworld at the camp. Honestly he hated nothing more than to see the children of the camp running about like they owned the place. Surely the demi gods did not think themselves to be greater than him or his brothers. Dressed in traditional attire he adjusted in his throne, his clothing moving almost like the squirming souls of humanity attempted to crawl away. He often sat in the darkness and wondered what would happen if he took a visit to the camp without his brothers permission, then again he much like Zeus was a king of his own domain. Persephone had returned home for the time being and he was left in the darkness alone, which to him was rather comforting at times. He loved his wife in his own way but to be alone was to have peace of mind. The god simply leaned back tapping his fingers against his chair and sighed, he felt bored and for once the god made up his mind to do an uncommon act.
Within seconds he disappeared from his throne and reappeared within the walls of the camp. His outfit had changed from the traditional attire to a black silk suit, a white shirt, and a black tie. On his tie a clip of a skull was placed, and his cuff links matched. Within the skulls the eyes were hallowed and glowed a dim red. He had some spawn in Camp Half Blood but he had never really been an active parent within their lives. Hades had his own family to deal with, and a wife who hated but loved him at the same time it was all rather irritating at times. Moving around camp he kept his eyes on the campers who walked by starring or whispering. Slowly and surely the god made his way towards his cabin. When he reached it he took a moment to stop and look over the building that held his spawn. He sighed at the architecture but simply shook his head and entered the cabin without a word. The expression on his face was calm and yet stern. He looked around for any signs of his children but saw nothing. Perhaps they were out showing off their abilities? He moved to exit the Cabin slowly when the sound of approaching foot steps rang through the air. Quickly the god turned away from the door and moved to place a hand one of the walls leaning casually. When the door opened the god spoke in a gruff tone, "Good Evening Child."
At first the voice did not respond and Hades thought he himself had made a mistake. The god pushed off the wall and turned to see an empty living space once more. He knew what it meant, a child of Hermes had come about to mess with the children he`d help bare. Much like their father the children of the messenger god were becoming quite the pest for the ruler of the underworld. With that event the god decided that it was high time he left the cabin to seek out one of his sons, perhaps they could enlighten the god on exactly what the policy was about the campers sneaking into HIS cabin. As he walked the god took in the sights of the camp, the way people acted and well the scenery that would be lost in his thoughts when he returned to the underworld. In all honesty he much preferred the darkness to the happy go lucky spirits of the camp. In all honesty the camp world was much to chipper for the god.
Gender: Male
Role: God of the Underworld
Playby: Stephen Amell
Personality:
Positive TraitsHonorable: Honor is the main thing that this god has going about himself. While he might not be one of the "most well liked" gods he is one of the more honest and trustworthy ones. While some people think that honor is one thing this god lacks the truth is that its the only thing he holds to be as important as the safety of his children. One thing is for certain Hades is very picky about his oaths and promises, he picks very carefully what he promises. Hades will honor is word and will often swear on the river Styx to prove he is being honest. Honor bound and true to his word Hades has decided to build a name for himself.Sophisticated: Hades, is one of the most intelligent gods. While he might not be all knowing and have a super human IQ he does have his knowledge. When it comes to complex issues, Hades, is able to figure out the situation and fix the problem at hand. Not only that but he has the knowledge of a god. He has been around for ages and over the years he has come to learn about the society and the demi gods who inhabit the land. All in all Hades, keeps himself as a well spoken and highly intelligent god.Charismatic: While he might be the god of the underworld and does not get out and about much its proven that Hades, is quite the charmer. He is is the type of god who can mess with the minds of those around him in order to get what ever he wants. While he is not as Charismatic or as charming as his younger brother Zeus, he still has his abilities. Hades is a strong willed leader and being the ruler of the underworld has led him to become the strong and iron fist ruler that he is today, not to mention compelling at what he does.
Neutral TraitsDominate: Hades, the king of the underworld has always been controlling and dominant. He likes his life to be in a specific order and since he is the one who controls his domain it is much simpler for him than it would be for most. The thing that makes dominant is the fact that he wants to keep his life as simple and easy as possible. Being dominant is the only reason that he has not tried to take over the world is because he is quite content in his own little domain. When it comes to people Hades, likes to have complete control over them, the feeling of power gives him a sense of joy and entitlement as a king.Impassive: Hades, being one of the very few gods that are highly disliked has given him a new outlook on life. Hades does not show emotions practically ever, I mean he is a god after all. Half of the time he is expressionless or completely straight faced and while this has proven useful when it comes to dealing with the other gods it has also proven to be a problem when it comes to speaking with his children and or lover. Hades, has found it easier to keep his emotions hidden and his face straight because then people seem to leave you alone that way. Ever since he was given the Underworld as a home he has decided to keep the emotionless appearance to throw people off.Sarcastic: Hades, is one of the most sarcastic gods in the world. Over the years his sense of kindness has worn off, and his sarcasm has been left to really take over. When it comes to being sarcastic there is literally nothing that can stop him. He is quick witted and will mock even the highest ranking god. Hades, does not have an off button and will literally do anything he wants including to throw off sarcastic remarks at people. Some people would say its to hide the ways he feels but in all honesty he simply just likes to make others feel pain.
Negative TraitsCallous: Of course this is a trait that he has shown time and time again, Hades, is one of the most cruel and cold hearted gods about. Hades is insensitive and unsympathetic man. One thing about the god of the underworld is that he keeps things simple. While some people stop and think about the people around them he does not. One thing people will learn about the god is that he does not care what other people think. While some gods might want to have people love them Hades, could careless. He is unfeeling and personally he likes it that way, therefore he will never change his ways.Asocial: People have never been a strong suit for the god of the underworld, and honestly he is not the best with any form of social interaction. The thing with Hades, is that over the years hes decided to become cold and callous towards people in order to keep himself sane. While some people might think that him being asocial is purely because of his job and domain the truth is that he just is not a peoples person. As a god some people would think him to be a little more open with his children but as much as he wants to he refuses to change for anyone, besides being a lone is easier than allowing others to get to know him.Power Hungry: Though he may come off as power hungry as some of the other gods, or even his younger brothers, Hades, wants nothing more than to be the god that everyone loves and fears at the same time. After being tricked into the underworld he has spent most of his life attempting to regain the power that he himself never received. The terrible fact of the matter is that Hades, wants nothing more than to take his brothers place as the king of the gods. He has spent most of his life dreaming and plotting and there is nothing that this male wont do in order to get his way.
History:Camp Interviewer: Welcome to Camp Half Blood Lord Hades, Its a pleasure to meet you. Would you mind if I took some of your time in order to get to know you a little better?Hades: -remains silent and simply look over the camper for a moment before speaking in a husky tone.- "I am sure that the pleasure is all yours demi god. I do not have many plans so I suppose I could grace your meaningless life and allow an interview for a few moments before my descent back to the underworld."
Camp Interviewer: Do you mind telling me about your birth, I`ve heard it before from mortal perspectives, however, I think it would be much more factual than what I have learned.
Hades: "Ah a story that has been told for many generations and yet still there is much that has been left out." - Moves to go and sit down on a bench motioning to the spot next to him.- A birth of a god is much like a birth of a mortal though we age almost instantly. I am the son of Cronus and Rhea, as well as the eldest of the three brothers. The other two being Zeus and Poseidon of course. My father Cronus never wanted to have children after the prophecy of us over throwing him so one by one after we were birthed Cronus devoured us. You see Cronus had overthrown his father before him and feared that the same fate would become of him. My mother could not save us all but she managed to save Zeus." -when he speaks his brothers name a slight growl escapes his lips.-
Camp Interviewer: Why would she save Zeus and not you? I remembered something about you and your brothers defeating your father. What exactly went on in your mind during that time? -the camper raises a brow slightly watching the god-
Hades: -runs a finger through his hair and shrugs slightly.- "The reasoning behind my mothers logic is complicated such as it is with any woman. She did what she had to and placed the trust in him much like we all had to do. When the time came and my brother was old enough we were able to be freed from my fathers stomach and with the abilities of all three of us we were able to defeat Cronus tearing him apart piece by piece and throw him into the deepest trench of the underworld." -he smirks slightly and at the thought and looks over the demi god with a slight glare.-Camp Interviewer: Tell me about the divisions of the domains and how you came to become the god of the underworld? Was it a blessing or a curse? Do you think the it was rigged or do you think that it was a fair game?Hades: "Some people think that we drew straws in order to see who got what realm and that Demeter cheated to better help her lover Zeus, however, that was not the case. When we drew lots the order pertaining to picking was that of Poseidon, myself, and then my youngest brother Zeus. While I did draw the one none of us wished for I have learned to accept my fate and deal with the thing I`ve picked. As for it being a blessing or a curse it has been both since for as long as I have been able to remember."
Camp Interviewer: What about the myths of you and your wife, what can you tell me about that situation there? Do you two love each other?
Hades: Ah the woman in my life, while I do not think you to be old enough to understand I will inform you what happened between my wife and I. Persephone was the daughter of my brother Zeus and the Goddess Demeter but she was also one of the prettiest goddess ever created. To me she is prettier than the goddess of love herself. Over time I began to watch the girl from the distance and eventually feel in love with her. I did not ask demeter for permission because to me the goddess was overbearing and protective so I arranged the whole thing with my brother. One day after being granted permission I stole the girl from the flowery meadow and brought her to my domain. While this continued her mother searched the earth killing the crops out of anger and stress. Knowing I would lose the love of my life I managed to get her to eat some pomegranate seeds so that she`d have stay with me for the rest of her life, however, Zeus, made Demeter, and I share the goddess. Now during the winter seasons I must part with my beloved and remain in my domain.Camp Interviewer: What about other women? Did you ever fall in love with another woman other than the Lady Persephone?Hades: "Of course I have child. Everyone has fallen love but I have loved few. While I will always love my wife I have loved others as well. There was once a nymph named Minthe who became something special to me, however Persephone got jealous and crushed her under her foot. I turned her to mint at the bottom of the mountain in order to keep her alive. Another was a Leuke another nymph I came to love, I carried her to the underworld and after her death she was turned into the white poplar my scarred tree. Those have been the only other two woman in my life I have ever honestly and truly loved." -he sighs softly and goes to stand up adjusting his tie.- " I think we are done here for now, excuse me." -he turns and walks disappearing into the shadows that twist around his body.-
