In a camp which only formally acknowledges a specific number of demigod, there is no surprise that such a fact comes to anger a few gods. Only three minor gods have received such acknowledgement. Only three. Iris, Hecate and Hypnos. Of course, such limitations would indeed anger others. One goddess in particular strongly desired such acknowledgement, believing herself to be as important as any god in Olympus. Revenge, retribution, justice and balance. She argued these very things were the foundations of mortal life. It kept everything together, kept everything at peace. Her name was Nemesis and she, thus, formulated a plan to accentuate the importance of what she represents.
Nemesis, so as to not receive direct blame herself, hired a monster of some sort to steal the golden fleece that strengthens the camps borders. Of course, she herself did not know the specifics of how it was done, but before long the fleece was gone and its protector temporarily put out of order.
At such a great theft, campers began to feud among themselves. Some believed it to be a large scale prank by the Hermes cabin or the Hephaestus cabin trying to prove themselves by creating a protector much greater than what was currently there. The blame game had begun and this started to increase on a disastrous scale. This was particularly evident when monsters began to take advantage of the camps weakened borders and started to attack. Cooperation between campers had only worsened and the attacks, though few and far between at this point, were exhausting on the campers.
Some campers, keen on revenge for whoever stole the fleece -while still believing it to be a prank by a camper- contacted the perfect god to ask about such a topic. Nemesis. Though all attempts so far have only failed. Nemesis has been staying quiet and the reason as to why is not yet known. Perhaps she's in trouble herself? Or perhaps she is enjoying the chaos brewing in camp. Nevertheless, she will soon make her move. The question is... when?
