When he'd wrote to his mom and told her he was thinking about taking up horseback riding, Fletcher hadn't expected the gift his mother sent him. She'd went a little overboard, he was sure, but he appreciated the über fashionable euqestrian-style clothing nonetheless. Wearing a peach polo and a pair of super-snazzy tan riding pants, Fletch looked like he was still enrolled in a private school, one that had horses at that. The boots he donned were name-brand and super expensive, the brown leather complimenting his color scheme and the natural glow that was emitted from him. He didn't know if he wanted to risk falling off a pegasus (or even a horse, for that matter) but now he had no excuse not to try. HIs mother had shelled out a lot of money to get him the items and he was going to try to show his appreciation by actually learning to ride.
He'd never touched a horse before in his life so he wasn't really sure as to what he should expect. He knew they were big but he didn't know how big. He knew pegasi could fly, but he didn't know how high. He was well-versed in the story of Icarus so he was already afraid of flying too high, but a horse with wings really wasn't as unsafe as wings that were constructed by a mere mortal. Striding into the barn was like being thrown to the hounds, but the confident expression his face harbored was enough to let everyone think he knew what he was doing. He'd practically convinced himself that everything was going to be super simple, regardless of the fact that he'd never petted a horse. Large animals just weren't his forte, okay?
Without trying to search for anyone with his eyes, the male opted to call out instead. He was sure the children who ran the stables would be obliged to give him instructions. He wouldn't try to be a jerk, but it might happen. He didn't know his head from his ass when it came to horses. Maybe he shouldn't have showed up looking super confident, but whatever.
"Anyone here?" His voice was as confident as his facial expression, though it wasn't very loud. He'd look like a giant tool if he walked around dressed like this and didn't find someone to teach him to ride. That would be awfully depressing. The boots were pretty sexy though, and a classy man could never have enough polos, right?
