save me, i'm lost. oh lord, i've been waiting for you. i'll pay any cost. save me from being confused.
Her hand caressed the soft mane of the pegasus in front of her as her blue eyes locked on the animal in wonder and surprise. It was only her second day at camp, meaning she was still getting used to the idea that she was a little more than normal and there were other creatures out there than the usual everyday beast. It was confusing, but exciting. Yet, her mind still mulled over whether she was happy to be there or not. All that was left for her at home was a drunkard for a mother and taking care of herself. But there at camp, there she had a new life; a new start that could potentially prove rewarding and beneficial. There were people that understood her and would actually care for her. That was something she had always wanted right? Callie had that once, with her younger brother. But he was taken from her when the divorce happened between her mother and step-father.
Sighing, she allowed her hand to drop to her side before she turned her back on the pegasus and sat down. She leaned against the stable door as she crossed her legs, her hands resting in her lap. For a moment she sat there in silence, her thoughts running wild throughout her mind. She wanted to believe she was in a better place, but she knew no one and she wasn't exactly sure how to confront them. Surely they would think her stupid for having so little knowledge of their world. It wasn't her fault though, as she had only just learned of who her real father was.
Apollo. Who would have thought her biological father would be Apollo. Callina always had this undying love for music, but she only thought it was a passion that any normal person would have. Most likely, she would never have shared her talent of singing with anyone either. She still hadn't. But what surprised her the most, was that first day, yesterday, when her bloody elbow was healed almost instantly. And by what force? 'It was your father's doing' they said. 'He has claimed you'. What did that even mean? Was she even worthy of being claimed? She was practically afraid or against everything the camp was about. She didn't fight. She couldn't handle blood. She would be no good if anything were to happen. Being there, would probably one put her in the way when the time came to defend. The last thing she needed was to feel like another person's burden.
Closing her eyes, she leaned her head back against the stable door, before she allowed them to open to the sight of the pegasus staring down at her. Shifting her body slightly, she turned so she could see the creature better, a soft smile appearing on her lips. "I know you don't understand me. At least, I don't think you do. But maybe it'll be okay if I talk to you for a bit. Maybe... I won't feel so alone, if I at least have you." She sighed once again as she looked down at her hands that were fiddling with her clothing. "Maybe... It'll be good for me, even if you don't talk back, just to get things off my chest. I'm sure someone would think me mad if they saw me right now."
