Okay, there was no doubt whatsoever that today was going to be a good day. Hazel woke up feeling good, she got changed and sorted herself out before heading for breakfast. Her hair was liking her today, it was full of bounce and was ever so shiny. Sure, they're stupid things to be happy about in the morning. But hell, why can't you be happy when everything goes right in a morning? Hazel was genuinely happy today. Happy, happy, happy. She'd said hello to perhaps a dozen or so people at breakfast time alone and the tone of her voice itself was somewhat musical. This had been a little contagious at times, with other people happily greeting her in return. Though she didn't commit to any conversations as such, it was nice enough just seeing people.

Today, anyway, was perhaps not one for commitment to conversation. Instead, Hazel had something else in mind. The weather was scorching. The wind was barely even a breeze. Though this didn't mean Hazel wasn't enjoying it. Today was a good day! It had started off as such and Hazel intended for it to finish as such. So where could she go? The beach? The arts and crafts area? Back to the Iris cabin? Nah. The lake! Of course!

Hazel's pace to the lake was almost a skip. Naturally this got quite a few odd looks, but by now people would have had to have gotten used to her constant joyfulness. Although sometimes this wasn't the most genuine thing she felt, today was different. There was no one to worry about pleasing. This was going to be perfect. The musical and happy feelings Hazel couldn't stop with soon came out in a melodic hum. Her pace had slowed, but this was due to the fact that she was nearly there. The lake was in sight and it was beautiful. The sun was high in the sky and only a few demigods were scattered along the shores of the waters. 'They must have gone to the beach,' she thought as she examined a few of the figures on the beach from afar. A few Aphrodite kids, a few Poseidon kids, a variety of quite a few cabins in all honesty. Though there weren't too many people there, and that itself was nice. Though Hazel was always in her element in social settings, this was still nice. It was calming. If someone approached her, she would assume her happy persona. That persona which today, of course, was a genuine one.

Nevertheless, Hazel forgot all thoughts of whatever her emotions have felt before today, because this was going to be fun. Caring not for her clothes, Hazel sprinted into the lake, fully dressed. She almost dived in, although this was only done when she was deep enough into the water. She laughed in joy and splashed around. Really, nothing could ruin this. This was so fun!
