1. No sexually explicit images, text or links are allowed on the board. In addition to that, we'd prefer no excessive swearing. Sure, it's okay to curse every now and then, but not 1000 times in one post.
2. Be civil and nice to everyone. No one wants to escape to a place where all they receive is rudeness and arguments. It's not fun for anyone. If you've got a problem with a member, pm one of the staff and we'll see what we can do to help.
3. Remember this is a virtual site where things are virtual. Something happening in threads or in the ICC isn't actually happening to you, so please don't overreact. It makes things uncomfortable for everyone. However, if something happens virtually in the chat from another member to you that makes you feel uncomfortable, this is not allowed and it would be appreciated if, should it happen to you, that you contact a member of staff.
4. No powerplaying. If you don't know what this is, it's basically acting as though you control another person's puppet. Which you don't. You play only your own characters, so don't start controlling other people's.
5. No godmodding. This is acting as though your character is invincible, such that they never get injured or scratched and beat every obstacle that faces them - including an almighty god in their divine form. If you want something to go a certain way, say, like your character winning a fight, please ask the member first so that they can cooperate with you instead of you controlling the outcome of every scenario in a battle between the two characters.
6. There is a minimum word count of 200 words per post. It's not unreasonable. It's just so that if someone is in a thread with you, they have enough to reply to. In addition, please write the posts in third person and in past tense. In addition to that, no text talk. A few grammatical errors are okay, everyone does makes them. Though it's not nice to read whole posts made up of wrds dat r wrttn lyk dis. If you are playing a god, the word count is 350 per post.
7. In addition to the ban on sexually explicit images, please don't use images that are offensive, too gory or otherwise unsafe. They are banned for obvious reasons. Also, please don't use rapidly blinking images. Images found to be within violation of these rules will be removed and, depending on the offense, a ban may be implemented for the safety of other members. The code word is "cerberus". Please limit signatures to 500x500 so as to not stretch the board. Your avatar must be 200x300 and the maximum size for a hover image is 200x150, if the latter exceeds the limit it will be removed.
8. The ban on images is included in private messages. If you receive a private message including something offensive, sexual explicit, gory or whatever, please contact a member of staff. Additionally, no advertising in private messages. If you want to advertise, there's a board for that.
9. No intolerance or flaming. We want everyone to have fun here. So do not ridicule other members for the color of their skin, race, nationality, sexuality, gender, lifestyle, abilities or otherwise. We do not tolerate any forms of intolerance. If you're targeted by this, contact a member of staff immediately and the offender will receive an immediate and if necessary permanent ban.
10. Do not disrespect the staff. They have jobs to do and how well they do these jobs depend on how the members act. They don't appreciate people being rude to them. Additionally, don't expect to be promoted to a staff member immediately. Please be patient. There's a chance you'll be recruited if you're active, friendly and responsible. If you follow all the rules, there's a high chance you'll be considered for staff promotion, should you want it.
11. There's no character limit, however it is preferable that you remain active with them. If you lose interest in your character and no longer want to play them, though don't yet want them deleted, pm a member of staff to AFK them for you. If you want a child of a big three god, please pm a member of staff and/or have at least one active character beforehand. We realize that they're popular and this is the best way we can even out the ratios.
12. Playbys must be older than 13. To have any below the age of 13 is to breach the rules of Proboards. This will be checked when staff look through the app. The playbys must be named and not just a photo you found of someone.
13. Sure, this rule is cheesy, but have fun!
