Basics
Full name: Zoe Eliana Rios
Gender: Female
Age: 19
Divine Parent: Apollo
Powers: Archery, Precognition
Personality
General personality:
Zoe is a "go with the flow" kind of person. Having lived a nomadic lifestyle for as long as she can remember, she isn't the kind of person to balks at change. In fact, she prefers it. Things that stay the same are boring to her, and so she's always on the lookout for something new. Generally kind, Zoe rarely forgets names or faces.
She's not overly social, tending to need a bit of time to warm up to new people, but shy wouldn't exactly be the best word to describe her. Social situations don't bother her, she is just very aware of her need for solitude as well. She is quiet, preferring to observe first and interact later. But once she's acclimated, Zoe is warm and welcoming with others.
She has a bit of a dry, sarcastic sense of humor, but never takes it farther than friendly teasing. She is never cruel, and dislikes cruelty in others. When encountered with such people, she has the grace to excuse herself from their company, rather than allow things to escalate. She doesn't have the patience for conflict and finds it to be childish.
That isn't to say she won't stand her ground when necessary. When pushed to this extreme, Zoe's calm nature gives way to a hot headed stubbornness that could rival the gods. But she is slow to ignite and quick to cool off, and so this side of Zoe is very rare indeed.

History:
Zoe was born in California. Her first memories are of playing on the beach with her mother. Gabriella was a musician who's voice had caught the ear of Apollo himself. When she found out she was pregnant, Gabriella settled in LA for a while with her family, raising her beautiful daughter for a time there. But the nomad life she'd lived couldn't be ignored for long, and so Gabriella brought Zoe on the road with her.
Her childhood was filled with music and RV parks. Her friends were the children of other traveling musicians who lived their lives moving from one folk music festival to the next. She learned to love new and changing things, and also learned to appreciate time to herself during the long drives between.
Gabriella met Oscar while she and Zoe were in Florida. He was tall, dark, and handsome and the two fell quickly in love. Oscar was a teacher, and soon took up a nomad life of his own, teaching the traveling children, Zoe included. It wasn't long before he and Gabriella were married.
Like her mother, Zoe loved to sing. But unlike Gabriella, Zoe didn't much care for singing in front of others. She tended to keep it to herself, and it was years before her parents ever heard her singing; her true father included.
Zoe was 10 when she first dreamed of her father. When she woke, she could barely remember, let alone interpret what the dream meant. All she could remember was standing in a field of sunflowers. The dreams began to come more frequently, but none were ever clear until one night when she was 12.
The next morning, Gabriella and Oscar awoke to find Zoe cleaning their RV. When they asked why she was so adamant in her task, she replied simply. "My dad is coming to see me." Sure enough, later that afternoon, there was a knock on the door to the RV.
The man was tall, tan, and had a brilliant smile. He was dressed simply, in jeans and a t-shirt, and held a handful of sunflowers. Oscar had the grace to excuse himself, leaving Gabriella and Zoe alone with the man. It was a long talk, and a long time coming. When Zoe asked why he decided to come now, her father smiled and she almost couldn't bear it.
"I heard you singing." he said, and gave her a wink.
Too soon, Apollo left, but promised to look in on Zoe whenever he could. Two years later, he reappeared to inform his daughter about Camp Half Blood. She has been visiting the camp ever since, though sometimes needs to take a break and meet up with her mother for a bit of a change in scenery.
